The Neues Museum was built between 1843 and 1855 and is the main work by architect Friedrich August Stuler. This volume records the historic emergence of the museum under Friedrich Wilhelm IV of Prussia, its destruction and the phaqes of its conservation and resration after severe damage in the Second World War.--Publisher
